Foaming problems in wet system are being faced practically in all Paper Mills. Usage of Surfactants, chemicals and mostly alkaline conditions of process breed this type of problem. The entrained/air-entrapped bubbles or foam cause severe problem in sheet formation & sheet’s surface appearance. “CON-TROL” DF’R’ is devised to kill the foam generated in the system and as also to stop further foam generation.

The fatty acid base defoamers are generally in use since long. “CON-TROL” DF’R is formulated with Mineral Oil & Petroleum Wax and is critically balanced to give optimum results in various types of de-foaming applications. It does not have any adverse effect on sizing of Paper.

“CON-TROL” DF’R’ should be diluted in 1:10 ratio and is to be added in Paper Machine back water channel. After the foam is controlled partial addition can be done in Mixing/Machine chest. For optimum results it is suggested to inject partial dose preferably near to Paper Machine Head Box with the help of metering Pump. The product can also be applied for control of foam in pulp mill operations.

The product has a very good shelf life. It should, preferably be, stored in a covered Dry area.

In normal conditions the ideal dosage of “CON-TROL” DF ‘R’ should be between 0.5 to 1.0 kg. per ton of Machine Production. However, these levels may be increased or decreased depending upon the type of raw material used, fillers, operating pH, addition of other chemicals which might have foaming tendency, back water circulation & individual mill system.
