Product Knowhow

Flotation deinking of waste paper is an economical method to remove printing ink particles from waste paper. The ink particles are loosened, separated, carried to the surface by air bubbles for elimination as concentrated foam. The type of waste paper used and the deinking chemicals employed have great impact on this process of deinking. "CON-TROL" INKONIL is a fatty acids and surfactants based product with balanced dispersing, collecting and foaming activities to perform best for these requirements at low dose level.

Properties

During processing “CON-TROL” INKONIL penetrates the waste paper surface, properly wets the ink particles & fibers, reduces the surface tension between them, accelerates loosening of ink particles, entraps air to create foam for flotation, collects the ink particles, disperses them efficiently, avoids their redeposition o fiber surface and helps elimination of ink particles as dense foam.

Technical Specifications
- Appearance  : Yellowish Pourable
- Slightly  : Viscous Liquid
- Solubility  : Soluble in Water
- pH of 5% Solution  : 8.5 ± 1.0
- Sp. Gravity  : 1.08 ± 0.05

Application

“CON-TROL” INKONIL is to be used at the dose level of 0.3 to 1.0 Kg per ton of waste paper directly in pulper with other chemicals. For better results it is advised to add "CON-TROL" INKONIL in the pulping water prior to addition of waste paper for proper mixing and distribution of the chemical. The recommended dose may vary slightly depending upon the quality of waste paper, water, individual mill's operating conditions etc. Pulping temperature of 50 to 60 C and retention of about 2 hours will give optimum result.

Shelf-Life

The product has very good shelf life when stored in properly closed container away from heat and moisture.
